Play Whe “The Whe Cup” Online Competition

Competition Etiquette:

• Avoid using obscene language, offensive remarks including but not limited to race, religion, class, body shaming, gender, ageism, disrespectful or any inappropriate comments that may be deemed offensive
• Avoid disparaging comments of persons, public entities, public officials, public figures, places, either by name, nickname or otherwise

Eligibility:

• You must be 18 years and over to participate
• You must follow the NLCB’s social media page on which you are posting your comment (Facebook or Instagram)
• NLCB and Brightstar Lottery staff and their immediate family members along with Brightstar Lottery’s advertising agency employees are not eligible to participate

Online Promotion

How To Enter:

• For the period June 22 – July 19, 2026 look out for NLCB’s “The Whe Cup” online competition on NLCB’s Facebook and Instagram social media pages

1. “Follow” the NLCB social media page on which you are posting your comment (Facebook or Instagram)
2. Comment under “The Whe Cup” weekly posts, adhering to the competition’s “Terms & Conditions”.
3. Profiles must remain “public” for the duration of the competition for winner verification.
4. 1 entry per person or social media handle.

Competition Duration: June 22 – July 19, 2026

Weekly Winner Selection Criteria:

• Each week we select the Top 4 comments with the most “likes” across NLCB’s Facebook & Instagram platforms combined, that have adhered to the competition rules and regulations
• We will contact the winners to conduct prize collection inclusive of photo-op at NLCB’s Port of Spain and San Fernando Offices
• Except for the Grand Prize Winner, you are allowed to win only once during the promotional period across NLCB’s Facebook and Instagram platforms combined.
• Winners will be given 90 days from the publishing date to claim their prize.
• Winners must present one form of valid ID to claim their prize.
• In the event of a tie, the comment with the most “likes” and the most “replies” qualifies to be considered as a winner.
• NLCB’s winner selection decision is final.

Grand Prize Winner Selection Criteria:

• We will select the Top comment with the most “likes” across NLCB’s Facebook & Instagram platforms combined, that have adhered to the competition rules and regulations. The comment with the most likes must have been received within the comment intake period of Week 4 of competition between June 13 – 19, 2026.
• We will contact the winners to conduct prize collection inclusive of photo-op at NLCB’s Port of Spain and San Fernando Offices
• Winners will be given 90 days from the publishing date to claim their prize.
• Winners must present one form of valid ID to claim their prize.
• In the event of a tie, the comment with the most “likes” and the most “replies” qualifies to be considered as a winner.
• In the event of a tie of most likes and most replies, the grand prize will be equally divided
• NLCB’s winner selection decision is final.

Prizes for Online Competition:

• Grand Prize: $4,000 in Mario’s Pizza Vouchers and (1) Play Whe merchandize hamper.
• Weekly Prizes ($2,000): 4 winners each receive $500 Mario’s Pizza vouchers and 4 Play Whe merchandize hampers each.
• Hampers contain 1 of each of the following items Play Whe merchandize items:
  • Large notepad, hat, keychain, cooler bag, water bottle

Claiming Prizes:

Prizes can be collected from NLCB’s Offices from Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm.

You will be notified when prizes are ready for collection at the following NLCB locations:

Collection criteria:

• Present the same form of Valid ID that you previously submitted via email.
• You will be required to have your picture taken for public communications.
• If you are sending someone to collect on your behalf, please prepare a signed letter advising the NLCB of your request and a copy of your ID, to be submitted upon prize collection.

Disqualification:

• Internet robot (bots) or any form of automated applications to attract “likes” will be disqualified.
• The NLCB reserves the right to disqualify winners at its discretion.
• NLCB’s winner selection decision is final.

Publicity of Winners

An official winner’s participation in the promotion and acceptance of the prize constitutes the official winner’s expressed permission for the NLCB and its contractors to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation
